Guild of Dungeoneering Beginner Strategy Bruiser

So far, I am loving Guild of Dungeoneering. My game is bugged so I can only run one save slot which kind of sucks (This is Patched Yay!). Id like to have a slot open to use some of the wilder Character Builds but I guess I will have to wait for the next play-through or a bug-fix.

After a few play-throughs, I ultimately decided that the Bruiser was the most optimal character build for the tutorial and Gobliiins round. The ability to block physical damage is the easiest path that I found. The Bruiser has spikey which also inflicts damage every time you successfully block. Blacksmith and Woodworker (i think) is an excellent expansion to go with the Bruiser. I am going to make a list of common cards that you encounter on these two dungeons and put the most appropriate counters below.

Beginner Bruiser Tips

1. Drop Mobs that do Physical Damage. I dropped a Ghost and dang near lost the Dungeon. Its better to gather loot from mobs that you know that you can beat.

2. Cards that block (both magic and physical damage) really help because everytime you successfully block u also do one damage thanks to spikey.

3. Don't be afraid to expand the third tree ( i will correct). I upgraded Leatherworker for my Apprentice and there were some surpisingly good gear (like the wolf pelt) for the Bruiser. I will probably upgrade all the gearmaking first so I have more flexibility in the dungeons (not sure yet).

Card Counters

1. 'Get Out of Here' counters Neurotoxin, Headbutt, Anger, and Headblow well.
2. 'You Tryin Something' counters Headbutt, Headblow and Parry
3. Nice Try counters Drain, Darkness and Restore
4. Block counters Anger and Headblow
5. Fire Shield counters Drain

Okay sorry for the rough post. But I haven't gotten to play as much as I wanted to due to babysitting. And now I am going to play until Alone comes on. Go Mitch! But that's completely unrelated to video gaming. Okay I am going to go play again and I will try and fill in this post more later.

Deck Heroes Sabotage Deck for Clearing Gauntlet

Well I wanted to apologize to you all by posting a really useful post on how to clear gauntlets if you are relatively new to the game. Clearing the 15th level of the Gauntlet yields some very nice rewards. It used to be almost impossible to clear the gauntlet because once your characters were dead they stayed dead. All you could do was just never reset the gauntlet and develop new characters until the gauntlet was clear.

Another good gauntlet tip is not to build strong decks until after you have cleared it but that is not as important as it used to be. This is due to the fact that your cards will restore after 12 hours. So now if you are facing some guy with an 8k+ power deck on level 15 you can at least make multiple tries on him/her.

I am going to show you my prime sabotage deck and show you why it works so well. The key to the whole deck is getting Balrog for a hero because he has corpse explosion. This is a situational deck. Anti Disposal decks will be pretty immune to this strategy.

Earlier,  I disposed of a Hyppolata my opponent had and then it got corpse disposed. This means that it was destroyed entirely and cant be brought back with recycle. Then I got lucky and his Great Mystic was destroyed the same way. That left him with 8 cards that were strong but were not going to beat my primary deck on their own.

He only ended up with 2 gorgons and 2 hanuman but the point is: Hypollata and Great Mystic is a combo that could have killed me over and over for days. Since I blew them up that wasnt an option. But even if you don't succeed in destroying these Heavy Hitters, Corpse Explosion will still allow to you destroy cards which means less cards for Hypo and Mystic to recycle. The less cards he can put into play the weaker he is next round. I sent in an easy curse deck next round and cleared level 15 very easily.

Anyways, I hope that helped. It was at least a useful post for a change. Sorry again for the lack of quality posts but my health was bad. Now I have cleared the Antibiotics and am feeling better I will try to post more quality stuff. And here is an example of my Sabotage Deck Below.

My Sabotage Deck

Hero Balrog with Undying

Thalassa x2 -- Recycle
Hanuman -- Disposal
Cyclops -- Instakill
Hellwolf x2 -- Instakill
Undying Will x2  -- Instakill
Balthazaar -- Dispose (got him from guantlet since I posted this guide)
Hell Knight just for rebirth.

You can sub in any card that sends other cards to the graveyard. These are just the cards that I had available to me. Well that wraps it up. I will have more posts soon! Sorry I have about a months worth of work to catch up on lol. But I will be more active from now on.

I am also going to try and start making videos soon as I can get a microphone.

Deck Heroes Maze Treasure Chest Guide

Hey everybody, I am back with a quick post for my Beginners Guide. This post will not be useful for you Heroic Veterans but for those that are new to Deck Heroes I think this post on how to use the Maze Treasure Chests will be helpful. At least I hope it will. Okay lets get started on my Treasure Chest Guide so you can find all that good Swag. I feel kind of like a pirate saying that.

The video below has nothing to do with this post. Its just all about SWAG. Cause I am all about that Swag hashtag Yolo. If you aren't in the mood for Swag just skip the video and head for the guide below it.

Deck Heroes Maze Treasure Chest Guide

There are four types of Chests that you will encounter in the Maze and 4 different ways of utilizing the chests. So without further adieus here we go.

1, Copper Chests: You should always upgrade your treasure chests to Silver Chests. It only costs 5k in Gold and Gold is so cheap in Deck Heroes it isnt even funny. Gold is only useful for melding and if you have a guild with a lot of maps open and only meld on Double Meld days (as you should) then you will have more gold than you know what to do with. At the time of this post, I have 11 million in gold and nothing to spend it on.

2. Silver Chest: You should open every Silver Chest as is. Do not upgrade Silver Chests to Gold Chests because Gold Chests absolutely suck. I have never gotten anything remotely decent out of a Gold Chest that would warrant paying Gems for it. I can get the same crappy 3 star creatures from the altar or whatever. I was reading a forum post out there where IGG (the developers) basically said that the RNG for getting a good creature through Gold Chests was equivalent to a lightning strike. And I have never struck Gold.

3. Gold Chests are where the real choice comes in. You can upgrade them to Ultima Chests if you want. Every 10 Ultima Chests gets you a guaranteed 5 star creature. But I usually just open the gold chests as is and then buy Faction Booster Packs.

4. Ultima Chests do drop some decent creatures sometimes but I was talking to a Deck Heroes OG who says that they aren't mathematically efficient and that Faction Booster Packs are more worth your gems.

Well that about wraps it up for my Maze Treasure Chesty Booty Guide. I will post a link to my Beginner Guide below (work in progress sorry)

Deck Heroes Noobie Guide Day 1 Walkthrough

I have decided to create a Deck Heroes Noobie Guide because well my tablet like went black and exploded. More bad news for me: In the process of setting up my new tablet, My Character got deleted. I have contacted IGG for a restore. I am sure that I will get it but their response time is notoriously slow and since I am hurting I started over just in case.

You will probably want to skip this post if you have been playing awhile but If you are brand new. Here is a numbered list of what you should do to progress the fastest in the game. I am sorry people. For my regular readers, I will scour Youtube and try and find some helpful videos that I can post to help. Until I get a restore however, my Primary Character is out of the game.

For those of you who are brand new. Day One of this Guide will get you from Map 1-1 to 4-1, I will also show you which creatures to develop and why. This will be the most efficient use of your energy and time.

Deck Heroes Noobie Guide Day 1

1. Complete Tutorial for Flame Brave.

2. Collect Noobie Welcome Package.

3. Change your name for gems.

4. Hit up alchemy under events for free gems.

5 Hoard Gems (especially if you dont plan on getting a star membership).

6. Enhance Flame Brave until Level 10. She is an endgame creature so focus on her first. Its okay to spend most of your coins just make sure you save 22,500 to draw 5 creatures everyday so You can get coupon shard in daily tasks.

7. Add at least 2 friends and send them energy.

8. Do not use the explore option until you get to Map 3. You dont want any  more 2 star creatures trust me.

9. Continue fighting your way through Map 2.

10. Switch to Nightraider cause Stormkaller sucks.

Place Centaur Grunt in front of Neander Cards to use Miasma Extra Damage.

11. Continue fighting.

12. Deploy your cards after you enemy first deploys in order of how many Hit Points they have. This will be best strategy for awhile until you get the hang of what cards go against what cards.

13. At the beginning just use Faen Creatures in your Deck for synergy.Use the most powerful ones you have until you can farm better ones. Do not farm 2 star cards for shards unless they unlock Thalassa in Seals.

14. Farm all Zombie King shards ASAP until you get Two Thallassas. Dont forget to exchange the shards for creatures so they don't get stolen in raids,

15. Collect your coupons from Daily Tasks.

16. Continue Fighting Maps in Explorers Gate.

17. Complete the Maze and Spend Gold to upgrade chests to silver if you have it.

18. Enhance Flame Brave with Essences and Gold from Maze.

19. You can also enhance Flame Brave with any 1 star card that isn't a Faen.

20. To speed up games always place Flame Brave or Frost Rager (later) first.
and dont place more creatures than your enemy until you have to in order to win. (Until you cant destroy all creatures and have to kill hero).

21. Continue fighting on Map 3-1. Place Frost Rager in front of Insane Hunter so you can Win. Colliseum can wait.

22. Put Frost Rager into your Deck and enhance her to level 10 after Flame Brave is finished.

23. Buy anything you can afford in the Bazaar that you can afford prioritizing Energy, Glory Points and Essences. Do not use Gems yet.

24. Collect Gem Rewards.

25. Skip Colliseum and fight 3-2. I usually start using the Auto Feature after initial placement to save time. Until I lose one.

26. When you beat 3-3 stop and farm Dark Assassins for Thalassa unseal. You can find it in the source tab of the creature card.

27. Continue fighting maps until you lose.

Okay at this point I lost. so I want to touch on the subject of what happens when you lose. I lost because I forgot to add Frost Rager. So check your deck make sure every card you want is there and then try again. Some times you just get bad draw and a second try will win it.

1. If you cant beat the map that is okay it is bound to happen eventually. Dont get upset and here is what you do.

2. Go to friends tab and start adding your friends until you have the max amount. Then send them energy and hope that they send it back. I recommend starting with lower levels because high levels usually wont add noobs to their friends list.

3. Then go the Colliseum and fight there. Its all auto just look at your opponents and fight the ones you think that you can beat based on how much power they have compared to yours (at first). Only fight the ones you think you can win. You can always come back later when your deck is better. Arena moves fast at this level.

4. Go back and accept any energy you might have gotten.

5. Farm Frost Rager Shards from 3-2. She is one of the most important cards in the game and you are going to need a lot of her.

6. Collect all your remaining coupon shards from Daily Tasks

At this point I ran out of Energy so I go back to doing real life stuff.

When I run out of energy, I will wait until the Heavenly Blessing time in the Event Tab. Then I will come back try the map again. If I fail I will tell you what to do then.

26. Collect Daily Sign in Bonus if you Forgot.

After the blessing.

1. I got stuck on Map 3-5. Going to Level up my Frost Rager to 5 before Finishing Flame Brave.

2. Might be stuck here for a minute not sure.

3. So I go back to map 1 and try to beat the other difficulties for the rewards. I do all the normal levels I can before starting on the hards.

To destroy all enemy creatures you really only need Flame Brave so dont place more than your enemy (cards).

4. Dont forget to unlock the reward chests in the lower right corner after you get your stars.

5. I leveled up my Frost Rager to 5 to give her more lasting power.

6. After getting Frosty to Level 5 I got a good draw and beat 3-5.

7. Farm 5 more Frost Rager Shards and then exchange her. Then edit her into the deck in place of one of the 2 star creatures. I will keep loading Frosters in there until all 2 stars are replaced and maybe beyond.

8. I will level up new the  Froster to Level 5 just to give her some more defense.

9. I don't farm any more zombie kings because I have enough for my first Thalassa. Later when I have extra energy I will farm more of him. Its just a waste of energy right now because you will need 12 or so of him for next Thalassa. Better ways to spend the energy right now.

10. I dont farm any more Frost Ragers because I cant get any more today.

11. I do not draw a hero with gems because there are better ways to get heros later. And you want to save your gems for 500 alchemy and then you get a free 5 star creature with your first Altar 5x Gem Bag/Draw.

12. I collect my star chest and enhance my new Froster to Level 5 and then dump the rest of the coins and essence into Flame Brave. I realize that I contradict myself but I am doing this in real time. The key point is do not develop any 2 star creatures. Its a waste of gold and essences.

13. I save about 10k in Gold for the last bazaar event tonight. I can always burn the gold later if the bazaar stinks.

14. I now have Flame Brave Level 8, 2 Frost Ragers Level 5, Magic Weaver lvl 0 and Frost Warden lvl 0.

15. By now you have realized that I think Magic Weaver sucks. Frost Warden is good though for Dungeon Maps. If you are really having trouble you can enhance her.

16. Now I lock up all my good creatures so they cannot be used as material for enhancements.

17. After I beat 3-6, I then farm more Dark Assassins for my Thalassa.

18. Then, I just keep on going into 4-1 but I get stuck but its no big deal. Tomorrow it will fall easily.

19. I only have 10 points of energy left so I just start the Maze from Map 3. I just press auto and skip. You rarely lose these maze battles. The maze is where you should burn any extra energy left and any left over after that should be spent on earlier dungeon maps to unlock the star chests.

I am going to wrap things up here with a little discussion why I am not interested in any of the Faen 3 star creatures I have picked up so far. By now you probably realize that in a couple days my deck is going to look like this. 1 Flame Brave, 1 Thalassa and 8 Frost Ragers.

Frost Ragers are still useable later in the game. If I develop that Magic Weaver then I will just be wasting essences and materials. In a map or two we will be able to farm Horned Beasts which are much better healers. Now if I get lucky and draw a good 4 or 5 star I might integrate them in. But since the first part of the game is the same for everyone strategy wise since the deck looks the same I am acting as if we will never draw any cards and telling you how to do it with what is available to everyone.

Eight Level 10 Frost Ragers will give me 2400 extra HP for all my Faen Creatures which is pretty much the best healing I am going to get at this level. Plus they only take 180 physical damage at a time and restore 180 each.

The main reason I want them though is that they are essential to a noobie guild map deck. I will still use most if not all of these ragers later.

Okay well that was a lot to cover in one day for a new player so I will wrap this up and come back after Reset at Midnight Game Server Time and Start writing Day 2 of Noobie Guide. If I dont it is because I got my restore and I can get back to work on my real guy. But hopefully this helps some of you new players,

Frost Rager Melds for Guild Maps

Okay I had to make yet another Frost Rager Post because the Frost Rager is like the Jack of all Trades when it comes to guild maps. I only have one meld so far listed but I have some more ideas that I will flesh out over the next couple days. This post is just for Guild Maps...If you want melds for Regular Maps or Arena I have a separate post here

Note: Frost Rager is great and very easy to acquire. But Sentry Angel will gradually replace her being that he has the same skills. But this will take a lot of time due to the fact that you can't farm him as quickly.

I wish that I could go back to day one and completely change how I played this game. I and (you) should focus on conquering the guild maps first. Finding a Good Guild with multiple open maps really helps. But regardless, with creature drop rates plummeting every update you should really focus on the getting high guild map damage. More gold and shards equals more 4-5 star creatures from shards and melds. I will be doing a separate post on guild bounties that you can find here.

The Frost Rager is a cheap and versatile option for building guild map decks. Because it already has Frost Armor and Restoration and Elven Salve, it is difficult to kill. Magic and bullseye is her only weakness but you can always get some Reflect Ragers or ImmuniRagers to tank for you vs High Magic opponents. (theoretically) So you can add a 4th skill to basically fit your needs. Here are the various melds I have or am in the process of creating.

Frost Rager Melds for Guild Maps

The Angry Rager - Frost Ranger with Angry 6 from []. This is the first Rager meld I suggest you create. It basically turns the Rager into an Ursa Major without the Stab-through which you don't want on guild maps. Now Ursa Majors are good for guild maps when the enemy only has physical damage guys left like Fafnir or Swordmaster as long as you can heal him. He might get up 5k per turn by the end if he takes enough damage.

I prefer the Angry Rager over the Bloodlust Rager because in a guild map it is almost certain that you are going to take damage but since a lot of the opponent cards that deal physical damage often have dodge (or hero puts fleet-footed on them) it is not always assured that you will do damage.

Bless Ranger-Someone suggested Frost Rager with Bless and this is an okay option on the cheap but Oracles already have great skills. I may make Bless Rangers eventually just to boost the HP of my deck but I am working on Frostacles (Oracles with Frost Armor) first especially because I need a couple more Angry Ragers

You can have a bunch of specialties for Frost Ragers because most of the beginning 3 maps do not have Titania. So basically you can create a whole squad of Ragers to be your Tanks, Healers, Support, Assassin or Fatigue. I may even try to create a lockdown rager. I hope that this has been an interesting post for you. I am getting much better at guild maps and wanted to share one thing that I have learned over the past week.

I've got some more ideas that I will post soon but I have so many posts I want to do after not being able to post for a weak. Some of my ideas for my Guild Map Guide are spilling over here. I will come back and clean it up.

The Deck I am Working On

1 Block Rager
1 Assassin Rager
2 Reflect Ragers
2 Angry Ragers
2 Oracles
2 Sprite Link Ragers

I will of course be phasing these out when high level melds like the Tauro General (and others the post is coming soon) make Ragers not as good. But for now they so cheap and easy to evolve and meld I figure why not.

Deck Heroes Beginners Guide

I have been answering a lot of questions on the Deck Heroes World Chat recently and realized it might be a good idea to make a beginners guide to help those people who are new to deck heroes. This will be a work in progress because it could become a very large post indeed.

Since writing this post I have begun a walkthrough for brand new players to the game that I feel is the most efficient way to progress. If you have been playing awhile it might not be so helpful but for brand new players its great.

Deck Heroes Beginners Guide

I am just going to start simply and tell you where you should get all your resources and stuff. I had someone asking me if they should sell all their 1 and 2 star cards which would have been bad. So okay here we go.

Gold

You should get the bulk of your gold by doing Mazes and Guild Maps. Gold becomes very easy to come by once you open up the Guild Hall. You should join the best guild that you can and be very active in the daily maps. The more maps that the guild has open the better.

Experience for Enhancing Creatures

I am not talking about Experience for your Hero here. When I say EXP, I am referring to experience for your creatures or cards. Experience comes from Essences won from the Altar, Bazaar, and Mazes and also lesser cards that you find. You should always sacrifice your bad 1 and 2 star cards for experience. Gold just just way cheaper than experience and its not worth burning creatures.

Maze Treasure Chests

I did a full post on how you should utilize all 4 of the Maze Treasure Chests that you can find here.
