Deck Heroes Sabotage Deck for Clearing Gauntlet

Well I wanted to apologize to you all by posting a really useful post on how to clear gauntlets if you are relatively new to the game. Clearing the 15th level of the Gauntlet yields some very nice rewards. It used to be almost impossible to clear the gauntlet because once your characters were dead they stayed dead. All you could do was just never reset the gauntlet and develop new characters until the gauntlet was clear.

Another good gauntlet tip is not to build strong decks until after you have cleared it but that is not as important as it used to be. This is due to the fact that your cards will restore after 12 hours. So now if you are facing some guy with an 8k+ power deck on level 15 you can at least make multiple tries on him/her.

I am going to show you my prime sabotage deck and show you why it works so well. The key to the whole deck is getting Balrog for a hero because he has corpse explosion. This is a situational deck. Anti Disposal decks will be pretty immune to this strategy.

Earlier,  I disposed of a Hyppolata my opponent had and then it got corpse disposed. This means that it was destroyed entirely and cant be brought back with recycle. Then I got lucky and his Great Mystic was destroyed the same way. That left him with 8 cards that were strong but were not going to beat my primary deck on their own.

He only ended up with 2 gorgons and 2 hanuman but the point is: Hypollata and Great Mystic is a combo that could have killed me over and over for days. Since I blew them up that wasnt an option. But even if you don't succeed in destroying these Heavy Hitters, Corpse Explosion will still allow to you destroy cards which means less cards for Hypo and Mystic to recycle. The less cards he can put into play the weaker he is next round. I sent in an easy curse deck next round and cleared level 15 very easily.

Anyways, I hope that helped. It was at least a useful post for a change. Sorry again for the lack of quality posts but my health was bad. Now I have cleared the Antibiotics and am feeling better I will try to post more quality stuff. And here is an example of my Sabotage Deck Below.

My Sabotage Deck

Hero Balrog with Undying

Thalassa x2 -- Recycle
Hanuman -- Disposal
Cyclops -- Instakill
Hellwolf x2 -- Instakill
Undying Will x2  -- Instakill
Balthazaar -- Dispose (got him from guantlet since I posted this guide)
Hell Knight just for rebirth.

You can sub in any card that sends other cards to the graveyard. These are just the cards that I had available to me. Well that wraps it up. I will have more posts soon! Sorry I have about a months worth of work to catch up on lol. But I will be more active from now on.

I am also going to try and start making videos soon as I can get a microphone.

Deck Heroes PVP Sucks Rant

This is my rant about why Deck Heroes PVP sucks. I will then itemize the various PVPs of Deck Heroes in order of suckiness. I love this game. I really do. The deck building is unlike (and awesome) any other cardgame I have ever played. I have an idea for a way better one but what can you do I can't code apps so it will probably never happen. But the PVP is some of the worst that I have played. And its not because I suck at it okay. I have a 70% winrate.

This all basically came about two nights ago after a Guild War. I popped onto World Chat to have a few laughs before doing my nightly raids and it was the usual Post Guild War Dick Comparison Contest. I guess the Wight Supremacists didn't make number 1 this time and a couple of the guys were really letting them have it. (its just my joke name for them. I am not bitter about them being Elite. Someone has to be #1 and I am too casual a player for it to be me).

So Global Chat soon descended into guys from WK cussing out some other guys and vice versa (if you were there you know who they are). And I am not taking sides. I like people on both sides. But World Chat just descends into a giant verbal brawl after Guild Wars. It kind of sickens me how personal both sides take the game. Its a game that is supposed to be fun. I do not base my self esteem by how good at Deck Heroes I am. I just like the game and want to have fun.

But inevitably some WK guy told one of the Chat Rogues that they shouldn't be butthurt because they weren't as good a deck builder as they were. This is where I took offense. Because it isn't Deck Building it is Deck Buying. The top players have all spent a fortune to get there. Its okay because I knew that this was a Pay 2 Win game when I started.

But it isn't really deck building when the Arena is automated. I don't have the option of putting my creatures where I want them like in Dungeon Maps. "Deck Building" is basically choosing whether you want a Disposal or Antidisposal Deck then then doing some lame autofight against your opponent.

Now this is not an insult to WK or any Top Player okay this is not my point. This isn't my first P2W game and its cool. I used to play WoW with guys that just bought their characters. It is fine. Plus some of the top guilds advantage comes from having more guild maps open with better creature shards. My point is that I wish PVP was more skill based and less random. I get why IGG does it because it makes players want to spend gems acquiring those marquee endgame creatures.

I do concede that there is a minimal amount of skill at knowing how your hero creatures stack up against your opponents but it it is just not involved enough for me.

What I do like about DH is that you can meld really awesome creatures and you have the freedom to try and make your own combinations. Shard drop rates are getting so abysmal now though that I am starting to get bored (not yet but starting to). It takes me a 3-7 days to farm any creature of worth and sometimes longer.

I just want to reiterate that this rant is not directed at WK or any other Top Guild. I am a Day 1 player. I was there when guilds came out. I elected not to start my own guild because I didn't want to put the time into. My wife already hates how much time I spend playing lol.

So now I will rank the different PVP features of Deck Heroes in order of suckiness.

Deck Heroes PVP Suck Ranking

Sky Arena Definitely Does Not Suck

Champion Gauntlet - I used to hate the gauntlet but now that IGG has made it so your characters refresh after awhile; I really enjoy this one. I am making my way through the Gauntlet everyday and having fun. It doesn't really suck at all anymore.

1. Tournaments - Even though I haven't been very good at Tournaments yet I like this pvp the next best. Its something I haven't seen before and the fact that I would not want to have to place my own creatures in 3 seperate fights makes me hate the autofight pvp thing a little abit less. Tournament only marginally sucks because it reminds me how much I hate the Arena.

2. Raids. I am awesome at raids. I farm about 15-30k in Glory a night depending on how patient I am and how good the targets are. My curse deck is sicker than the one posted in the video. But I don't need manual pvp for this function. All my creatures are basically the same and I just press auto/skip and collect my Glory. I need the manual pvp for the...

3. Arena - Arena started out as the true test of how you ranked in Deck Heroes and it is where I really hate the AutoPVP. Its not really the best player who wins its just the one who can afford to buy the best deck. If it was manual I would have the opportunity to use strategy to overcome my opponent instead of basically watching a horse race (no offense but Horse Races rank about as high as Golf on the excitement meter). They are maximum Boring.

4. Which leads to Guild Wars which sucks the most. Not counting the cheating, I just hate it because it requires so much time to partake in. I barely have enough time in my day to make a marginal attempt and keep my guildies happy. It is fun and I do okay but I just don't have the time to do it. That's why Guild Wars is (imho) the suckiest PVP feature. Just out of sheer Tediousness.

Well sorry for the rant but that's where I am at with Deck Heroes right now. The lowering Shard Drop Rate and the Pettiness and Automation of the PVP is just sucking the life out of me. I may have to take a break for awhile.

The main reason I wrote this however is that because I do have a good thing to say about IGG over some other Developers. They do actually listen to their players and make the game better from time to time. I am hoping that by putting this out there and maybe getting some feedback (please don't argue Pay 2 Win though, that all got tired out in Global Chat) that maybe IGG might improve the game a little bit. Maybe have two Arenas one Auto and one Manual. That would be fun.

DecK Heroes Gauntlet Hack Bug Exploit

I wanted to do a quick post on one of the best bugs that you can exploit in Deck Heroes. I am not sure if it still works but it is worth a try. Basically if you are fighting in the gauntlet and you know you cannot win, you can disconnect your internet and get a free pass to try again.

It doesn't always work and I have only used this bug exploit accidentally. I hated the gauntlet up to this point but I have heard that they have made some changes and that it is more fun now so I figured this post might go with my gauntlet strategy video.

Part of me thinks this hack is wrong because it is designed to not penalize us for accidentally disconnecting but then again...all is fair in love and war so I will leave you to make your own decisions.

I am not sure I will use this glitch because I am probably too lazy to disconnect my internet connection but I thought that it might help some of you so I posted it to go along with my Gauntlet Gauntlet Guide (work in progress) that I will link to below.

Deck Heroes Gauntlet Guide

Okay I am going to get started on my Deck Heroes Gauntlet Guide. There is a hack/exploit for the gauntlet that I will post here after I get written up. I am not sure if I will use it because it is a little bit of a pain in the ass but it might help some of you. I usually don't do the gauntlet because I hated it. But Deck Heroes has made some changes including I believe one that enables your creatures to come alive again after 12 hours.

Update: May 18 2015. I did a good post on a Sabotage Deck that I think will be interesting and helpful for clearing the gauntlet.

Deck Heroes Gauntlet Guide

My post is going to begin as so many does with a video from Ragnarok but I will be adding a bunch of my own original content below it, including that bug/exploit that I told you about. But I am beginning my gauntlet learning process with this video so I figured it might interest you as well. It is a video on how Gauntlet Difficulty is determined.

So basically the moral of this video. is don't increase your deck power until you complete the gauntlet. I also liked the tip about storing energy rewards in your mail box until there is a double material day. That is smart. Okay I will get started on this gauntlet thing again and hopefully have more tips soon. I have to go back to real life for a bit now sorry.

Gauntlet Tips

1. Okay one of the fairly new changes to the Gauntlet (and a good one) is that you creatures will rebirth 12 hours (approximately) after they die. I have tested this out and it is confirmed. So I will not be able to make any changes in my deck for awhile (which sucks) due to the fact that I do not want to raise my maximum power. I need lots of bloody lords so I will be farming them for quite awhile.

2. So basically my plan is to use the same deck for each gauntlet round until it won't win anymore. Then I will add some of my more powerful/synergic cards and hopefully beat them with my advanced deck. It sucks I have to wait 12 hours in between each fight (sometimes) but that is okay. I want to clear this gauntlet.

So far I have been able to win 1 or 2 gauntlets a day by just letting my creatures refresh.

3. The cards you can use for the Guantlet come from your 4 Active Decks so It is a good idea to use 4 different decks entirely.

4. Creatures you kill appear to stay dead. So if you can use other cards to soften up your opponent for your main deck. for the last level (15) I use an instakill/dispose deck and just try and kill of whatever I can before I send in a strong deck afterwords. For a really hard deck I will use an instakill/disposal deck, then a Gladiator linked High damage deck and then a powerful Wight Deck. Its a noob tube way of doing things but at least it gets it done. The Rewards from the Final Gauntlet are Sick.
