Deck Heroes Oceanus High Level Deck

Stargater posted his Oceanus Deck on Youtube so I figured that I would share it with you. Its a dare to dream deck for most of us lol. I am about 3 months behind in evolving my 5 stars and I need to redirect my efforts to the Level 5 Chambers. So I will see if I can crack the chambers soon and write guides. I am sorry for all the video posts but I am babysitting and he won't let me type more than a few words lol. I will probably never see Oceanus but I am 78 Shards away from my Captivator.

The things that the little people (like me) can take from this video are that:

1. Melding Disposal on Royal Dragon can be a good idea.

2. Battleblow 8 on Graboid seems to be a good Vanilla option

3. Farm Horned Beasts for one of Thalassa's Recycle Skills

4. Resurrect Melds well onto Light Brave


Well that is it for today. I am sorry that this post was another cookie cutter post but I had to toss something together before the little one gets up and starts playing his games on the computer. I hope you are all doing good. I did think this was a good video with about 4 bits of info that is useful to us lower level players. I also scored a Balthazaar today so I might finally be able to destroy 10-5 and do a guide on it once I level him up.

Deck Heroes Dread Cliffs Dungeon 12-11 Video Walkthrough

Here is a video from Stargater on how to pass the Dread Cliffs Map 12-11 dungeon. The music is a little too "European" for my tastes so you might have to mute it. It gave me a laugh. Stargater is a great guy though and I always enjoy his videos. You should sub him on Youtube. He doesn't do a lot of Deck Heroes videos anymore because at the time of this posting his account was in limbo. Same thing happened to me. Be Careful if you ever try to link your account because you can very easily unlink it.

Deck Heroes Energy Blessing Time Change and Runes

Okay there was a big uproar today. Everyone has been wondering about the changes in energy amounts and times plus runes have appeared. I have many useful Rune tips and resources on my Rune Guide. These are good changes if you remember to update your game.

You will actually receive more energy during the day but unfortunately you forced to log in more often. After you update your game, you can go to the blessings portion of the game and see the new times on the game server.

Runes are very cool. You cannot draw them though yet. You can see what the various runes do now by searching through your different creatures. I cant wait for these to be implemented but I do have a hunch that it will further the gap from Free to Play and Pay to Win characters.

I still like the Runes Idea though. I have looked through some of my cards and it actually looks really awesome. But its just yet another complication of the game and the true test will depend on whether you have to pay Gems to acquire runes.

If they require gems then it could possibly be the death of F2P players on this game. I am not saying that this is going to go down. But if it does you will see an army of rich kids sporting rune enhanced cards that will just destroy anyone who doesn't buy gems.

IGG is genius in the way that it designs its game to give the appearance that you can win without spending real money but tweaking it to extract the most value from its customers. But most of us who have played Pay to win Games before see whats coming. If Runes cost massive amounts of gems then this might be end. IGG might have gone too far this time and midlevel F2P players will dissappear. The game will be divided among rich P2W players and noobs that dont know any better.

Site Update

Well folks sorry its been a busy holiday weekend. My wife has to have a procedure tomorrow which is semi-experimental. Its FDA approved but shes one of the first to have it. But If i disappear for a few days, its because there are complications. Pray for us or cross your fingers please :)

Cobra Kai is doing well but we've had to tighten the recruiting due to Killer Queen and Angel Prime getting nerfed.

I really wanted it to be a top competitor and be a fun guild for my readers. Its a tough balance between keeping the higher levels happy and having a place (where players of all levels) could all hang out. So I just wanted to apology to you all. The guild thing didnt turn out the way I thought it would (its my fault and I hope you can forgive me) and  then IGG majorly screwed up the game balance again. Cobra Kai is becoming competetive but because of The Great Nerf we have had do what i didnt want to do and some of the more casual lower levels have been nerfed from the guild. We are basically at lvl 40+ and 100 energy contribution, no days inactive.

IGG is a frustrating developer. One hand they are very creative and they make the most fun games. On the other hand they have Zero Customer service. If you all remember I was almost forced to quit to do a glitch that un-linked my email to my account. The greed is also terrible. Its not the players fault they introduced cards that were way overpowered.

I really feel like people who spent money to get Killer Queen should be reimbursed somehow...Imagine spending boo coo bucks on boosters and then having IGG nerf the card.

My original guild fell apart because my GM cared more about getting a Killer Queen than the longterm health of her guild. That strategy backfired now. I was hoping that I would get a killer queen too eventually (with fair shard distribution) but that is out the window and now without the mighty Queen...guild maps will move slower and the Marquee players will flock towards Top Tier Guilds.

Its really frustrating because with Killer Queen any guild could rise on a long enough timeline. So I thought I could build up Cobra Kai and fast. Now basically it just benefited the DH Elites. Dont get me wrong Cobra Kai has progressed really far, really fast. We are almost top 100 and weve fought in 2 guild wars. But now the heavy hitter I was bringing had his queen nerfed and the whole guild is going to have to build Guild Map decks to clear the maps.

Like I said maybe this is necessary to restore the balance but the players pay the price while IGG reaps all the Benjamins.

Deck Heroes Farming Gems and Gold

Hi Guys and Girls. I am back with a little post on how to farm Gold and Gems. My new Friend Guneet wanted me to do a post on this so I will do the best that I can. The best way to farm gold that I have found is through guild maps. The best way to farm gems is the new sky arena. But I will go into more detail below.

How to Farm Gems

I figured that I would start with gems because it is what everyone cares about most. I will go through the various methods I use to get gems below. 

1. Star Membership

The Star Membership gives you the most gems for the amount of money that you have to spend. The downside is that it costs real money and you have to wait 30-31 days to collect all your gems. You may or may not want to go this option. I budget 20 dollars a month to spend on my online gaming. 10 dollars goes to my Xbox Live and 7 dollars goes to Star Membership.

That being said unless I had a really important meld that I wanted to do (IE 5 star or really rare 4 star) I would never spend money buying gems on this game. Deck Heroes is a really fun game but its worth $7 a month to me. Its not worth spending anymore on it. Rather than spending 10$ and basically getting nothing for my money, I would rather just save up and buy an Xbox game with way better graphics. But the star membership gives you 3000 gems for like 6.99 which isn't too bad a value for your money if you can afford it.

2. Sky Arena

I don't have to enough time to participate in the Sky Arena unfortunately. But the Sky Arena is the very best way that I have seen to farm gems so far. Lots of gem rewards. If you do really well you can get some great cards too. I knew people that were waking up every 2 hours to do the fights. I think that sleep deprivation for a game is a little whack but then again I don't have an Angel Prime to show for it either.


3. Regular Arena (at first)

Until you are capped, you will get quite a few gems through the regular arena. But you all probably already know this one.


4. Raids

Raids is the last really useful way that I farm gems. For every 50k glory points you collect you get about 100 gems so having a good curse deck will earn you a decent amount of gems. I am working on a post on how to advance your curse deck that I will post soon.


5. Guild Wars

Participating and doing well in guild wars is a good way to earn a few extra gems. The more you participate and the  better you do the more gems and guild credits that you get. Guild wars are boring and tedious but the rewards are huge. You can get and develop every 4 star hero in the Guild Mall from the credits you get from being in a top 100 finisher in the guild wars (top 50 is better).

5, Miscellaneous

You will get a few gems here and there for random missions like earning dungeon stars or buying them in the tournament mall. These are nice but they are basically just nickels and dimes. You can also look at the free offers in the Earn Gems portion but unless its a free reward to try out a game i might like I usually avoid these offers. Most of them are trying to farm your personal information or add spyware to your droid.

How to Farm Gold

There really are only two good ways (buying them with gems is a waste) to get gold and that is Guild Maps and Mazes. Everything else is a waste.

1. Guild Maps

The only real efficient way to get gold in deck heroes is through the guild maps. I hate to say that but it is true. That is why I recommend working on your guild map decks first. Because if you can crush guild maps then you will have the gold to meld for other things too. I am not the best at Guild Maps but I do pretty good sometimes. I am going to be doing a new post with more advanced guild cards (melded and otherwise) soon. Right now, I basically just say use Frost Ragers melded with Bless and Oracles lol. But I have learned a few more things (that i am still working on implementing) that I will share with you soon.

If you need a guild you are welcome to join mine. At the time of this post we almost have map 1 open. But we have some high levels and good energy contributors. Maps will open up quickly after the first one and if its a week or two down the line from when this post was written, I expect to have multiple maps open by then.

2. Mazes 

Mazes give you a pretty decent amount of gold. I usually only do a maze once a day for the Coupon. But you get some good creatures from mazes too from time to time especially Dark Witches. In general though, I only do one maze a day unless it's 2x Maze XP day, I am farming Ultima Chests, or I am just so bored of farming shards that I want to have fun and burn up my energy.

Deck Heroes Sabotage Deck for Clearing Gauntlet

Well I wanted to apologize to you all by posting a really useful post on how to clear gauntlets if you are relatively new to the game. Clearing the 15th level of the Gauntlet yields some very nice rewards. It used to be almost impossible to clear the gauntlet because once your characters were dead they stayed dead. All you could do was just never reset the gauntlet and develop new characters until the gauntlet was clear.

Another good gauntlet tip is not to build strong decks until after you have cleared it but that is not as important as it used to be. This is due to the fact that your cards will restore after 12 hours. So now if you are facing some guy with an 8k+ power deck on level 15 you can at least make multiple tries on him/her.

I am going to show you my prime sabotage deck and show you why it works so well. The key to the whole deck is getting Balrog for a hero because he has corpse explosion. This is a situational deck. Anti Disposal decks will be pretty immune to this strategy.

Earlier,  I disposed of a Hyppolata my opponent had and then it got corpse disposed. This means that it was destroyed entirely and cant be brought back with recycle. Then I got lucky and his Great Mystic was destroyed the same way. That left him with 8 cards that were strong but were not going to beat my primary deck on their own.

He only ended up with 2 gorgons and 2 hanuman but the point is: Hypollata and Great Mystic is a combo that could have killed me over and over for days. Since I blew them up that wasnt an option. But even if you don't succeed in destroying these Heavy Hitters, Corpse Explosion will still allow to you destroy cards which means less cards for Hypo and Mystic to recycle. The less cards he can put into play the weaker he is next round. I sent in an easy curse deck next round and cleared level 15 very easily.

Anyways, I hope that helped. It was at least a useful post for a change. Sorry again for the lack of quality posts but my health was bad. Now I have cleared the Antibiotics and am feeling better I will try to post more quality stuff. And here is an example of my Sabotage Deck Below.

Deck Heroes Surveys for Gems Not Impressed

Awhile back Ragnarok posted a video that had Google Opinion Rewards in it. It is a survey for google play credits that actually looked legitimate for a change. So I signed up and did one survey for 1$ worth of Google Play Credits. And I thought oh boy this could be cool. Boy was I wrong as usual.

Its been two weeks and there has never been another survey offered. I suspect that the program is spyware. They give you a $1 and then collect a whole bunch of information off of you. My only other guess is that the maker of the app does not like the United Nations. Most of the sample questions all pertained to whether or not I felt the United Nations was doing a good job.

Now, I have no clue if the UN is even relevant anymore but since I don't know anything about it, I did not want to speak badly of them. I said that I approved of the UN since most of the countries are allied with mine. But still, no surveys have been released since the first survey. You can give Google Opinion Rewards a try but if you don't get any surveys (been two weeks for me) I would delete the program before it records any more of your personal information.

Still some people have said it worked (verified people not shills) so who knows you might give it a try and maybe the app will like you if you live in the right country and have the right opinion of the United Nations.

Just a quick post today because I am thinking about setting up my own guild. If any of you would be interested in joining my guild hit me up with an email. Haven't quite got all the details squared away yet.

Deck Heroes 2x Meld Summary May 2015

Deck Heroes finally had another 2x Meld day and I screwed up my best meld. Huge Setback for me which I will describe below. I did move forward slightly however and got some good melds started. I hope the melds went better for you than they did for me.

2x Meld Summary May 2015

I successfully melded Restoration onto a Frost Panther which was a huge mistake considering I wanted to meld Frost Armor onto him and create a monster Guild Map creature. But now instead I have to wait until I get 4 more duplicates to fix the problem. I will soon crack the Level 10 Dungeon maps but still this mistake is going to take a long time to fix. The moral of the story is always double check what skill you are melding. 

I melded a Frosty Paladin to 100% so the next time I get a duplicate I will be able to put him on the board.

I began attempting to put Recycle onto a Horned Beast and got to 30% expertise. 

I started melding Frost Armor onto a Juggernaut. I got lucky and got it in 2 tries. 

I started putting Discord onto one of my Dark Witches. I got lucky and got it in 2 tries.

Well that sums up my melding day. I finally got to spend some of the gold that I had been hoarding. I hope your melds are going well and would love to hear about some of your creations in the comments if you would like. I get like a 1000 people on this blog a day but only a couple people leave comments lol. But that is okay. 

As if by Prophecy Ragnorak did a video on Funny Bad Melds which I figured I would add down below since I screwed up my Frosty Panther.

Ultima Chest Tracker Deck Heroes

Hey everyone. I am going to post the cards that I get from Ultima Chest here as an experiment. I am going to buy 10 chests and then 10 Boosters and see which ones are worth it. This post will probably take a long time and I am not sure if it will be interesting to anyone but I figured I'd write it down anyways.

Deck Heroes Sky Arena Review

Well Sky Arena is here for Deck Heroes and I must say I am impressed. It is a lot of fun. I won't be participating in it very much because the rewards are not worth the time put in. But it is a lot of fun. It is the PVP I have been asking for and IGG answered. It definitely will not go in my list of deck heroes PVP that sucks.

Deck Heroes Sky Arena Review

Stargater asked us the question: Is Sky Arena awesome. Well for me no. I do not think that I could rank high enough to make the time I put in worth it. The Elite Decks are fricking sick. I had no idea that I was this far behind until I fought those guys. I will be catching up a little bit after the next chamber and meld events..Plus I will have four 4* faction heroes soon.

But, I do not hate Sky Arena. It is a lot of fun. I am very glad to have a skill based option for PVP. The reality of it though is that my time is worth more than the 400 gems I think I could earn as a reward. It would be cheaper for me to just buy them gems on the next 20% off day.

Now if you have a really sick deck 8k+ then Sky Arena could be very awesome for you. There are some really nice rewards if you can rank high enough.

I don't really have any strategy tips for you because the PVP is very straightforward and you cannot see who you are fighting against beforehand. That is the key flaw of Sky Arena. I have no idea who my opponent will be so I cannot add creatures that will help me beat them.

It is essentially your best deck versus their best deck. Now I don't want you to think that I am ragging on the Sky Arena too hard. This review is actually a positive one. Sky Arena achieves two things for me.

1. It is really really fun.

2. It gives me a cheap inexpensive peak at what the top decks look like these days. Gives me really good ideas on how to advance and improve my deck. Like the Venom Tyrant Deck with all the Undying Creatures.

Okay that about sums it up for my Review of The new Sky Arena for Deck Heroes. Overall, pretty cool just very labor intensive. I will have tons of posts to write soon but life is so busy right now. My health has gone crazy and my house is destroyed lol. But I will get back to you all soon. Thanks to all my readers and well wishers. You guys rock! Thanks for making this blog so much fun.

Deck Heroes Enhancing Fodder

I have like 1000 cards now which sucks because I have to sacrifice like 50 just to keep from getting jammed up all time. So I am trying to go through and decide what creatures are not even worth keeping. So here is my short list (so far) of every creature that should be sacrificed for EXP to Enhance your better creatures. 

Deck Heroes Enhancing Fodder

All 1 Star Cards: If you need to do a dungeon map, just play for a little while build up a couple 1 stars and toss them in your deck. Don't enhance them or anything. They wont contribute anything to success even fully enhanced.

2 Star Cards

All 2 Star Cards except for a few Frost Warden for Dungeon Maps and Black Widow for Life Sap 7 and Afflict. You should also keep any creature necessary to unseal Thalassa but beyond that just use them for enhancing your better creatures.

3 Star Cards

Burnt Fiend
Voltic Priest
Master Guide

4 Star Cards

Pit Priest is just such a waste of space that I go ahead and use her for meld fodder.

Neamazon sucks pretty hard as well. I just use her for meld fodder too.



Well sorry it is such a small list but I would love some help with it. If any of you know of some other cards that are just so terrible that they shouldn't even exist please let me know and I will add it to my list of Meld Fodder.
