The Best Melds for 3 Star Creatures in Deck Heroes

I have been getting a lot of traffic from people looking for 3 star creatures to meld. So I figured I would do a mini-post to go along with my Master Meld Guide. This way they don't have to sort through all the 4 stars that they can't meld yet. I hope this helps guys!

The Best 3 Star Card Melds

3 Star Melds Deck Heroes

Frost Rager is by far the top 3 star card to meld imho. She has so many options and remains viable even into later stages of the game. She is also very easy to farm so I would focus on getting some of her first. Click Here for a special page discussing all of the different options that you can use to meld feasty (not so) little Frost Rager.  There are just too many different options to post on this page. Elsa needs her own page!

3 Star Melds Deck Heroes

Don't let his silly looking pincher fool you. Manticore is a beast to be reckoned with. If you pair his Bullseye with Battleblow 8 you are guaranteed to do some serious (unblockable damage) to your enemy. Plus he has rebirth with a quick spawn time so even if he dies he can ressurect himself and be back on the battlefield multiple times quickly (2 rounds). Even without the Battleblow he can be a pesky creature to get rid of. This is not to be confused with the 4 Star Manticore which I am sure has some cool melding possibilities as well if you can acquire multiples.

3 Star Melds Deck Heroes

Archmage is a Consecrator which means she HATES mortii. She is also another category for Battleblow 8. If battleblow fires, she can do almost 3k (approx I will get better numbers soon) to a mortii creature which can potentially insta-kill it. Plus she stabs through about another 700-1k to damage to enemy hero. If you can keep her on the battlefield she will wreak havok on Mortii decks. She is very useful in 8-9 versus Dearthmort and his son Pinocchio.

This might seem like a wasted meld but my thought process is that I am going to need a couple badass 3 stars for my Mortii Chamber 4 deck and I am hoping she fits in there. My plan is that she will be like an overpowered Troll Scout in the line. I just recently created a deck that can beat Human Chamber 4 so I expect  (hope) that the Morti Chamber will fall next.

3 Star Melds Deck Heroes

Border Ranger is another good 3 Star Meld because she is the only 3 star creature (at the time this was written) that has Sweeping Blow. Sweeping Blow paired with Weakness is a nasty combo especially in guild maps. But stabthrough and bloodlust are also viable melds.

I am slowly in the process of melding Battleblow 8 onto my Troll Scout only because he has a permanent place on my Human Chamber 4 Deck. Since he has a permanent spot on the roster due to me needing a 3 star card, I figure I might as well make him the best that he can be. This is one of those cards you only need one of and isn't a high priority. But when I have extra gold and nothing else to meld I work on developing him.

I am putting Earth Totem from Troll Guard on my Blood Warlocks since they are a buff card. Blood Warlocks are useful for Guild Maps.

Curse Decks (Thanks Slippo)

3 Star Melds

Dark Witch with Discord. I used to recommend Death March...but Discord pwns above all. 9 Discord Witches and a Spirit Siren or Gorgon will kill off most 4 star heroes with little trouble at all.

Frost Caller with Unholy Pact from Blightgast

How to Spend Your Gems on DecK Heroes

Here is a quick little guide on how to spend your gems on Deck Heroes. If you have been playing awhile then you already know. But when I was new I wasted a lot of gems because I didnt know what the best way to spend them was. Hopefully, this will help some of the newbies avoid my mistakes.

How to Spend Gems on Deck Heroes

How to Spend Your Gems on DecK Heroes

1. DO NOT SPEND YOUR GEMS ON LUCKY SPIN. Lucky Spin is a scam so unless you can afford to spend thousands of dollars on Gems avoid this like the plague.

2. Alchemy is your best option for gems because you just get Gems for Free without any strings attached. How long you are willing to save up your gems for the various levels of Alchemy is up to you.

3. Human, Faen, Mortii, or Neander Boosters. I placed these at #3 because alot of the top players have recommended them over Ultima Chests. I haven't capitalized on the boosters yet but I will continue to buy them until someone tells me better.

4. Ultima Chests: After you unlock the Maze on Map 7 you will unlock the gold chests which you can upgrade to Ultima Chests for 800 gems. After 10 unlocks you are guaranteed a 5* creature which is AWESOME. But it has been suggested that this is not an efficient way of doing it so I am going back to the booster packs.

5. Energy is an acceptable thing to spend gems on. I don't do it too often but I only have a Star Membership and my Cards suck so I am always looking for that next booster or ultima chest.

6. Silver Chest are not worth upgrading. Waste of Gems

7. Name Changes are only worth it if you hate your name or piss everyone off.

So that pretty much wraps up my Deck Heroes Gem Guide. I hope that it helps. Please check out some of my other Deck Heroes resources that I have compiled. I put a listing below. Here is a little video from Ragnarok that runs through the entire gambit of Gem Usage and I pretty much agree with it. I added this later so the thoughts above are my own (with some revision).

How to Solve Deck Heroes Map 8 11 Video Guides

Here are some really good videos on how to defeat the illusive and aggravating 8 - 11 Dungeons. I have not defeated yet but the one piece of advice that I can give you is that getting rid of Ursa Major is the key. He/She is far worse than the Venom Tyrant. I have listed the creatures below that I feel (so far) work best in the order of importance.

Best Easiest Method

Hero - Chaos Witch with Level 5 (higher will do it quicker) Shadow Hex

Deck - 10 level 10 Dark Witches

Key Creatures that can be Used in Solving Map 8-11

1. Satyr Chief
2. Arrow Brave eats Neanders for Breakfast
3. Satyr Sentry
4. Moonwalker
5. At least one Disposal Card i.e. Hanuman, Gorgon, Balthazaar etc.

Honorable Mention: Pegasus Lords are good against Neanders because of Miasma but seem to go down really quickly. I'm not impressed with them so far.

Here is a deck that I have seen (believe) could beat 8-11

Tips for Beating Map 8-11

1. No Venom Tyrant Sacrifice (He Plays First in Line)
2. First round miss by enemy followed by a Phantom Liege delay round
3. Quetzalcoatl never rebirthing.
4. Disposing of Ursa Major
5. Hold Back Your Creatures to Avoid Boar Dispersal
6. Human Heroes that Dispense Frost Armor
7. Frost Rager with Block 7 comes in handy vs Venom Tyrant
8. A Hero that Disperses Agile
9. Cards with Assassinate can help destroy Ursa Major.
10. Do not try to Damage the Enemy Hero as You will Lose
11. Arrow Brave and Centaur Chief can both potentially kill Venom Tyrant so try to put them in front.
12. Disposal Cards rock this stage as well.

There you go. I hope that these videos help. I posted them for me to  help keep track of them. But I thought that they might help you all as well. I will post more useful information as I find it (hopefully because I have ADD). I am addicted to this game right now. Remember my one piece of advice. I keep one Hanuman (or other disposal character) in my deck to try and get Ursa Major out of the game before he even hits the playing field. I have come close a couple times thanks to this. My deck is still going to need some more work though unfortunately. I am gathering Arrow Brave Shards as we speak. Okay thanks. I put links to my other Deck Heroes stuff down below.

Deck Heroes Melding Guide from the IGG Forums (Copy)

Thanks to This Forum for providing Info. AngelSpawns is the creator he rocks! I am gradually making it mine as I add my own melded creatures and insight into the melds but all credit Goes to the people who contributed to the forum. I have also contributed several of the melds I have found interesting as well. I hope it helps.

Awesome Creatures(apprentices) for Melding:

**WARNING** I advice Melding when you own at least 3 or 4 duplicates. Chances are against you otherwise and you'll end up disappointed with nothing to show for it. Double Meld Events are also awesome times  to meld creatures. Also look out for the new Double Chamber Events which are great for gathering Melding Materials.

Human [Name - Skill - Reasoning]

4* Colossus. - Frost Armor - Main Tank, snowballs quickly into damager. Lots of HP together with Immunity & Frost Armor gives her all the time she needs to self-buff into a deadly killer.

4* Techno-Chief. - Battleblow - Main damager. It works well with Sweeping Blow, doing almost 2000k the first time it's in play.

4* Swordmaster. - Battleblow - Main damager + Tank. Same reasoning as Techno-Chief. You can also meld Sacrifice.

4* Oracle. - Delay / Frostbite / Cloudburst, or Frost Armor - Main support, Main Support + Tank.
Gives +300MHP to Humans, 150HP Mass Heals, 500HP Hero Heals. As support she's placed furthest right. Fits her role perfectly to disable more threats from distance. She also gains 1715HP/400ATK at Lvl15, so Frost Armor will instantly turn her into a stalling tank with Mass Heal.

4* Royal Knightwith Frost Armor 5 from Sentry Angel. (Thanks to NavyViper)

4* Paladin - I plan on putting Life Sap 7 on my Paladin, his damage is so high with Battleblow and Bullseye that I believe he can beat almost any creature 1v1 with Life Sap

Faen [Name - Skill - Reasoning]

3* Frost Rager. - There are a bunch of different options for the Frost Rager. I have devoted a special Blog Page for our feisty little Frost Rager.

4* Horned Beast. - Repetitive skills - Survival expert. 70% Magic evasion / 50% physical + 125HP (mass) Heal. This creature is like a blank canvas: she'll dodge, heal up, and ensure whatever skill you give her is repeated several times over before she leaves your field. Recycle, Retreat, Frostbite, Godswill... depending on strategy. You can trust it is in evasive hands.

Naga Mistress

Neander

4* Tauros Elder with Frost Armor 5 from Sentry Angel (TY NavyViper)

4* Graboid with Battleblow, Life Sap or Recycle (TY NavyViper), Alot of people put Sacrifice onto Graboid as well. That makes him a beast.

4* Panther Beast with Frost Armor is nigh unkillable (TY Hoems)

4* Ursa Major has its own page. I had several ideas. You can access the page here

Mortii

*3 Manticore with Battleblow 8 from Alert Guard .  (thanks Starlord)

*4 Hell Knight with Dodge, Life Sap or Frost Armor

*4 Dullahan with Recycle, Instakill or Disposal or Unbound

*4 Eye of Jonarra on a separate page found here.

Best Skills to Meld, and where to get them:

These are categorized by strategy Brute force, Lock-down, Tank and Buff, Hero Take-down. Determine your creatures purpose first to find your best options and where to get it. The creatures selected have the Highest Skill Level, availability and/or expendability. Meaning you won't regret taking it off them to enhance your Apprentice. I have a cheat sheet for Melding Skill Combos.

Strategy: "Brute force" for hard hitting creatures.

1.) Battleblow = 50% chance to increase ATK by [X] when attacking. (3, 4, and 5*s)

- [Lvl8=160%] 3*Alert Guard, - Mazes, Lucky Spin, Altar Coins, Altar Gems, 8-12 reward.

- [Lvl7=140%] 3*Dark Assassin, - Exploration in 3rd Map.
Hit for 1500~2000 ATK on almost anything. Battleblow works best with Sweeping Blow that also hits adjacent creatures.

Strategy: "Lockdown" for stopping enemy creatures.

1.) Delay = 50% chance of making [X] creatures skip their next turn/action. (4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl2=2 Creatures] 4*Master Guide, - Daily Login.

- [Lvl3=3 Creatures] 5*Nidhogg, - Mazes, Lucky Spin, AltarGems, Altar Coupons, GuildMap. Only Meld if you absolutely won't use him in a Neander Deck.

Delay and Frostbite both stop a creature(s) from acting on their turn. Perfect for stalling and preventing damage.

2.) Frostbite = Deal [X] Magic DMG to 3 random creatures. Has 35% chance to inflict freeze, so they skip their next turn/action. (4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl3=60 Magic] 3*Frost Caller, - Exploration 6-10.

- [Lvl3=60 Magic] 4*Icy Mage, - Exploration in 7th Map.

- [Lvl5=100 Magic] 2*Demona, - Mazes, Lucky Spin, Altar Coins, Altar Coupons.

Delay and Frostbite are both skills that stop a creature(s) from acting. You'll have to chose between the 2 options: 2x50% chance, or 3x35% chance + Magic DMG.

3.) Cloudburst = Deal [X] Magic DMG to 3 creatures. 45% chance to inflict Paralysis, preventing the enemy creature from physical attacking next turn. (4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl2=50 Magic] 3*Voltic Priest, - Exploration in 3rd Map.

- [Lvl6=150 Magic] 3*Flame Mage, - Mazes, Lucky Spin, Altar Coins, AltarGems.
Cloudburst is the weaker effect of freezing, preventing physical attacks from happening. As trade-off it has 10% more chance to inflict it.

Strategy: "Tank and Buff" for reducing damage and healing.

1.) Frost Armor = Caps the amount of DMG a physical attack can deal at [X]. (4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl3=180Dmg] 3*Frost Rager, - Exploration in 3rd Map.

- [Lvl7=140Dmg] 4*Ursa Major, - Mazes, ?-? reward.

Frost Armor is the best skill for tanking physical damage. Put it together with a healing ability for almost eternal life, or with counterskills to trigger them while taking little physical damage yourself.

2.) Block = Reduce DMG taken from physical ATK by [X]. (3, 4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl7=175] 3*Lazy Guard, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoins, AltarGems, AltarCoupons.

Block is recommendable on creatures already equipped with Frost Armor. After the damage gets capped, Block negates the physical damage that gets through even further. If the Block Skill comes first it will not work.

3.) Mass Heal = Restores [X] HP to all your Creatures. (4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl6=150] 4* Oracle, - Exploration in 6th Map.

This works well on support you place on the right side out of harm, while tanks take the damage with Dodge or Frost Armor.

4.) Bless = Your Hero gains [X] Health.

- [Lvl10=500] 4* Oracle, - Exploration in 6th Map.

Particulairy useful in Guild Maps, where your Hero's health gets drained each turn.

5.) Elven Salve = Increases the max HP of your other Faen Creatures by [X].

- [Lvl7=350] 3*Centaur Guide, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoins, AltarGems.

A one time trigger for your creatures. The one time [350 max HP + 350 Heal] raise happens on creatures inflicted with Rip aswell.

6.) Sprite Link = Increases the ATK of your other Faen Creatures by [X].

- [Lvl7=175] 4*Dream Guide, - Exploration in 6th Map.

- [Lvl7=175] 4*Faen Mesmer, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoupons, AltarGems.

7.) Sage Advice = Increases the max HP of your other Human Creatures by [X].

- [Lvl6=300] 4* Devotee, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoins, AltarCoupons, AltarGems.

- [Lvl7=350] 4* Oracle, - Exploration in 6th Map.

See Elven Salve.

8.) Earth Totem = Increases the max HP of your other Neander Creatures by [X].

- [Lvl6=300] 3*Troll Guard & Hippo Raider, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoins, AltarCoupons, AltarGems.

- [Lvl7=350] 4*Tauros Elder, - Exploration in 8th Map.
See Elven Salve.

9.) Unholy Pact = Increases the max HP of your other Mortii Creatures by [X].

- [Lvl5=250] 3*Dark Witch & Blightghast, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoins, AltarCoupons, AltarGems.

- [Lvl7=350] 4*Pit Lord, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarCoupons, AltarGems.
See Elven Salve.

10.) Life Sap - from Black Widow

11.) Soul Sap - coming soon

Strategy: "Hero Takedown" to go directly for the Hero.

1.) Discord = Random enemy has [X] chance of attacking the enemy Hero next round. (3, 4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl5=55%] 4*Faen Mesmer, - Mazes, LuckySpin, AltarGems, AltarCoupons.

- [Lvl8=70%] 4*Eye of Jonara, - Exploration in 9th Map.

Discord will disable 1 enemy that turn + inflict its ATK to the enemy Hero. If your creature already has curse and little attack of itself, you may chose this over stabthrough.

2.) Curse = Deal [X] and [X]% times enemy Hero's MaxHP as Direct DMG. (3, 4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl5=250 and 1.0%MHP] 3*Frost Caller, - Exploration 6-10.

Combine it with a creature that has survival skills(dodge, frost armor, rebirth, to prolongue it's time on the field. The more turns it's in the more DMG it gets through.

3.) Godswill = Reduce enemy Hero's HP by [X] for each enemy creature in play. (4 and 5*s)

- [Lvl7=140] 4*Bloody Lord, - Token Mall.

It's potentially the highest inflicting Hero DMG skill. 5 enemies translates into 700 Dmg. It's most optimal when staying on the field as long as possible without killing enemy units. Current units with this Skill already have a good additional Skill-set to compliment it. I do not advice destroying any of them. If you must, then Bloody Lord is recollectable with Tokens.

4.) Stabthrough = Deal [X] of the DMG dealt to enemy creature to the enemy Hero. (3, 4 and 5*s)
- [Lvl6=90%] 2*Shadowstalker, -Maze, LuckySpin, AltarCoins.
- [Lvl7=105%] 4*Ursa Major, - Mazes, ?-? reward.

5.) Retreat

6.) Tomb Traps

___________________________________________

Work In Progress - I just want to know if you guys like the format and have any ideas. My main goal is to collect the best Meld options and have 1 complete guide. I'll get back to this and edit it regularly with player input. Please share your wisdom by leaving a reply with your suggestions and ideas. You can also make requests for melding choices if your creature is not listed.

Border Master Weakness with Sweeping Blow -  Border Master/Weakness

I've pulled Weakness 6 from 2 Blood Shamans at this point. One on a Border Ranger (I had a whole bunch extra and it seemed like a good idea). Spent WAY WAY too much money but it works great, Border ranger dies quick though. I wouldnt waste a Quetzalcoatl on a 3-star but maybe on a Swordmaster?

Faen Buffing Melds

For Faen Buffing Melds- Centaur Guide=350 HP-I've gotten 9 from map farming over the past 2 months.

Dream Guide-175 ATK-Dungeon farming

Hey!  So I've posted some of these before but might as well put em here.  Also some things have already changed (like adding a 3rd assassinate) so I wont suggest them.

Border Ranger is the only 3-star Creature with Sweeping Blow at the moment.  She's not easily farmed but I had 10 of her just through mazes and coin bags.  This makes her a cheaper / easier Meld for a few 3-star Options.  Weakness, Bloodlust, Afflict (currently bad since there's only level 4 available), and Stabthrough are all potential options for her that are compatible with 3-star Creatures.

She already has Battleblow so that wont work.  Just for a warning, it took me getting to 100% to get a meld off with her which I was not surprised at this point - 3 star creatures seem to suck and the % is definitely NOWHERE NEAR the actual given %.

Colossus will absolutely dominate anything if it can get Frost Armor.  Higher level is better but even stolen from a Frost Rager it makes her insanely good at both tanking and Damage.  Anything focused on long-game will love this combo and she is totally farmable.

Swordmaster with Venom Edge I am so seriously looking forward to I can't contain it.  Basically waiting on Gold to get this accomplished because I've been busy but everything is lined up for it. What this does is make Swordmaster not only a badass tank herself, but helps protect creatures around her from Physical Dmg.  Yes, it doesn't scale up or give her 2000 damage, but it truly makes her an amazing tank for her team.

Horned Beast is the King Melder in my humble opinion.  He has very little synergy with any Meld skills, but he lasts forever and rarely gets locked-down because of his immunity.  This means that any repeatable skill you want is in good hands.  Recycle, Retreat, Frostbite, Godswill... it's all gravy baby.  Just make sure to NEVER put Single Use or Upon Death spells on him because this guy is never dying.  Just watch out for Paladins and Manticores.

Techno-Chief - Life Sap 7 (Restores hp equal to 70% of all physical damage dealt to opponents) from Black widow 2*. Since he has no survival this would help keep him on the field much longer and allow him to continue dishing out heavy blows.

4* Dullahan - Unbound  (Could turn him into a one man soul survivor which would make him very hard to get rid of with Stoneskin, Battleblow and Rebirth already known).

Frost Rager Melds

I have separated the Frost Rager into two different pages. She is literally that versatile. I have listed Frost Rager's uses in guild maps on a seperate page which I will eventually link to here. And the regular game Frost Ragers below. She is the one 3 star creature that never really gets obsolete

Deck Heroes Frost Rager Melds
1. I recommend Block 7+ for Frost Rager. I took Block 7 from a Lazy Guard. With this combo Frost Rager only takes 5 damage from physical attacks, making her unkillable against decks that don't/can't spam magic. In the late stages of Guild Maps you can sometimes become invincible with this meld and the right placement. A Block Rager is also very useful on Map 8-11 to block the Venom Tyrant.

***3. Reflect: is what I am going for next. I have faced Reflect Ragers in Raids and they are nigh unkillable.

4. Bless 10 for Guild map which Slippo says is the Boss!

5. Master Chainer also advises that Sprite Link 175 from a Dream Guide or Faen Mesmer will help you farm Faen Chamber 4 if you cannot already.

6. Frost Ragers are also  awesome because you can pull Frost Armor off of them and they are very Easy to Farm. So really  you can  have multiple versions of this card and I recommend that you do. They rock a lot of the guild maps. Frost Ragers and Oracles really help on Guild Maps.

Thank You to Diana Troy, Angelspawns, Starlord, Master Chainer and Slippo and [???] for contributing to this work.
