Guild of Dungeoneering Beginner Strategy Cat Burglar

At first glance, I thought that the cat burglar really sucked but then I went back through using my new exploit to optimize my gear and I really like this guy. I still think the Bruiser is far superior early game but with the right loot and strategy, the Cat Burglar can actually inflict large amounts of damage quickly. I can see the Cat Burglar being more useful midgame due to his mix of Physical and Magic cards.

The main difference between the Bruiser and the Cat is that you will find yourself in more marginal situations with the Cat Burglar versus certain mobs or leaders.

But really as long as you level yourself up to one level above the raid boss and make sure you have the loot that is optimal for your dungeoneer for that dungeon you will be in really good shape.

Beginners Tip

If you choose a magic dungeoneer early on you will want to wear loot that gives the ability to block and counter physical damage. You don't need a full set mind you but you will want to be able to counter some of the more potent physical damage cards like Headbutt, Neurotoxin etc.

Once I got the hang of the Cat Burglar, he really seemed overpowered. Even more so than the bruiser. I almost died a couple times getting there but he has a lot more magic and physical damage than the bruiser. He can really inflict some pain and do it fast.

The Bruiser however is like a safety blanket. He quietly blocks damage and slowly inflicts it back upon his enemy with his spikey damage. Barring some freaky fountain debuff or really bad draw this guy will clear the Goblin Warlord with ease.

So far the Apprentice and the Mime have been the most difficult to play early game. But now that they fixed the save slot bug, I can play around with them more easily. I just haven't had time. It might be a couple days before I get to them because I got my eye on some of the Advanced Dungeoneers that are now only one map away from achievement.

My wife says I have to do stuff but check back to this post. I will post some of the best loot for early game and add some combos soon. Unlike the Bruiser, the Cat Burglar really relies on combos more than counters. Block is the wheelhouse of the Bruiser. Inflicting large amounts of damage at the right time is the Cat Burglars.

Guild of Dungeoneering Extra Gold Cheat Exploit

Guild of Dungeoneering Extra Gold Cheat

This is more of an exploit than a cheat but you can use it to get as much extra gold as you can before you get bored. This Cheat works in any level where you are disconnected from the boss like on Gobliins Part Two. You start off in a little 3 room corridor not connected to anything else.

You can basically just build like 5 rooms in a line and keep adding gold, gems and weaker mobs until  you have all the loot, higher level, and gold
that you want. Or until you get bored. You can put a dead end at one end to weaken a Bandido. I managed to get 200 gold, and Overpowered Loot but I could have gotten way more. But after 45 minutes of fighting weakling mobs, I just got bored and finished off the boss quickly.

I was so overpowered by that point that I just connected my corridors to the main map and pretty much instakilled the Orc Warlord. This cheat will work on any level where are you disconnected from the main map.

I am not sure if there is a turn limit but I exploited this for quite awhile before I just simply got bored.

Deck Heroes Map 13 Secret Dungeon Walkthrough Dragonlord

I know its been awhile since I have made a Deck Heroes post. I just got bored of the game but I am still going to try and put through a complete dungeon walk-through. So, I just thought I would post Stargater's video of the secret dungeon on Map 13. As soon as I compile more videos I will get a master list put up for you guys. You guys have been the backbone of my blog and I dont want to totally alienate you. I will do my best to organize what resources that I can find.

I really do recommend Guild of Dungeoneering. It is cute and fun but it won't replace the long term strategy aspect of the Deck Heroes. I just don't  have the gumption or time to devote to Deck Heroes.

Guild of Dungeoneering Beginner Strategy Bruiser

So far, I am loving Guild of Dungeoneering. My game is bugged so I can only run one save slot which kind of sucks (This is Patched Yay!). Id like to have a slot open to use some of the wilder Character Builds but I guess I will have to wait for the next play-through or a bug-fix.

After a few play-throughs, I ultimately decided that the Bruiser was the most optimal character build for the tutorial and Gobliiins round. The ability to block physical damage is the easiest path that I found. The Bruiser has spikey which also inflicts damage every time you successfully block. Blacksmith and Woodworker (i think) is an excellent expansion to go with the Bruiser. I am going to make a list of common cards that you encounter on these two dungeons and put the most appropriate counters below.

Beginner Bruiser Tips

1. Drop Mobs that do Physical Damage. I dropped a Ghost and dang near lost the Dungeon. Its better to gather loot from mobs that you know that you can beat.

2. Cards that block (both magic and physical damage) really help because everytime you successfully block u also do one damage thanks to spikey.

3. Don't be afraid to expand the third tree ( i will correct). I upgraded Leatherworker for my Apprentice and there were some surpisingly good gear (like the wolf pelt) for the Bruiser. I will probably upgrade all the gearmaking first so I have more flexibility in the dungeons (not sure yet).

Card Counters

1. 'Get Out of Here' counters Neurotoxin, Headbutt, Anger, and Headblow well.
2. 'You Tryin Something' counters Headbutt, Headblow and Parry
3. Nice Try counters Drain, Darkness and Restore
4. Block counters Anger and Headblow
5. Fire Shield counters Drain

Ruffled Shirt
Twig

Advanced Bruiser Equipment

Wolf Pelt
Scull Cap
Scale Male

Other Good Bruiser Gear

Scimitar

Sword

Okay sorry for the rough post. But I haven't gotten to play as much as I wanted to due to babysitting. And now I am going to play until Alone comes on. Go Mitch! But that's completely unrelated to video gaming. Okay I am going to go play again and I will try and fill in this post more later.

Site Update Guild of Dungeoneering.

Hello to all my friends. I just wanted to apologize for dropping of the face of the Earth for a while. Life got very complicated and I had to work more. I really thought that the blog would just die off but you are all just way too loyal. So I want to thank all of you for sticking with me. Okay well now I will tell you what is going on with my gaming life. I am no longer in control of Cobra Kai. They deserved a leader that had time to play the game. But they are great guys so feel free to apply. They may have different guidelines now. The other bad news is that I no longer play Deck Heroes. The game just got too complicated and took too much time to maintain.

Okay now to show you what I am moving onto

It came out today and I am going to even try to do some videos. Okay I am off to steam to see if i can make the game work. I am exhausted again so I will update you soon. But thank you so much guys for supporting me. I will get more into contact soon.
